DoorKeeper™ CONNECT Edition is an AddIn or App that adds functionality to Bentley Systems MicroStation® CONNECT. It's a tool for architects, designers and planners.
See the Getting Started page for a quick introduction to DoorKeeper tools.
DoorKeeper exists primarily to help you annotate door cells to create a Door feature. By Door feature, we mean a DGN cell that you use to represent a door that has been tagged with DoorKeeper data.
Each door has an ID, which makes it simple to identify in reports and tables. DoorKeeper tags an door with further information.

DoorKeeper's Door Class and related properties are a text value that you can assign when you tag a door cell element. Each property's purpose is arbitrary: you can assign any value you want. Most are chosen from a Pick List. You might want to use them for collating or sorting door tables.
For example, if you are planning an office layout, you may want to classify doors with a values for Door Class, Door Category and Door Type. You can assign a Fire Rating to each door. Something like this …

You might create a MicroStation Report that you export to, say, Excel. In Excel you can perform calculations using the above Door Class values. For example, you can calculate the total number of doors, or filter your data by selecting only those doors having a particular Door Class.
They key-in to update a property on multiple elements simultaneously is
DOOR TAG PROPERTY property-name, new-value
Where new-value
is one of the acceptable values for this property.

You can re-label those cell in one shot with the key-in …
DOOR TAG PROPERTY fire, Fire Door
This command will operate on a single element — just pick an element in the usual way. It's more useful, however, when tagging multiple elements in a selection set or fence.
See the DoorKeeper commands page for information about a specific command.
DoorKeeper's Door Type tag is a text value that you can assign when you tag a cell. It is restricted to a small number of values chosen from a Pick List. Door Type values are limited, for example, to …

DoorKeeper labels your doors with properties using SmartText™ found in your cell. Create your door cell with SmartText placeholders for property values.
See the Labels page for more information about labelling.

See MicroStation Help for more information about Picklists.
If you don't want the Picklists provided by LA Solutions, you can supply your own. If you would like to know more about custom Picklists, look at MicroStation Help.
DoorKeeper lets you create a MicroStation Named Group from DGN elements having common property values. Elements in a Named Group can be manipulated in various ways using MicroStation tools.
For example, you may have several door tagged with property Office Door. DoorKeeper's group command pops a dialog where you can choose to add doors with that value to a Named Group.
Named Groups that you create with DoorKeeper appear in MicroStation's Named Groups dialog. Each Named Group can be manipulated using MicroStation's tools. For example, you can highlight a Named Group to locate its members more easily. The following screenshot shows MicroStation's Named Groups dialog with some Named Groups created by DoorKeeper …
DoorKeeper lets you tag multiple elements. In order of preference, the elements can be …
If a fence is defined, then those elements within the fence will be tagged. If a fence is not defined but a selection set is active, then those elements in the selection set will be tagged.
Each element is checked to ensure that it matches DoorKeeper's requirements: i.e. it must be a cell and it may not be currently tagged.
The key-in to annotate multiple elements simultaneously is:
DOOR TAG MULTI
