MicroStation and BIM

MicroStation stores structured business data using Bentley Systems' ECSchema technology. In other words, a DGN file is a data source. MicroStation includes Reports tools to view business data. Other tools let you query DGN data using popular databases.

Our TagWorks products provide simple BIM capability for MicroStation.

Databases

A database is often used to store alpha-numeric 'business' information. We can help design and implement your database, whether Microsoft Access™, SQL Server™ or Oracle™.

For GIS and asset-management applications, a database is commonly linked to graphic elements in Bentley Systems' MicroStation. For example, an office plan might have asset data stored in a relational database, or a GIS application might have feature data stored in a hierarchical XML data repository.

Windows

Bentley Systems' MicroStation is a certified Windows application. Plug-ins for MicroStation developed by LA Solutions are consequently also Windows compatible. We use Microsoft tools to develop 64-bit and 32-bit apps.
